Effective September 15, 2014, Tom Forbes relocated his practice from Cox Smith.  Cox Smith resigned their membership in Tom’s absence, and the Board of Directors has voted to fill the vacant state with Tom’s current firm, Kemp Smith.

The firm is the second oldest in Texas; it is based in El Paso, with offices in Austin, as well as Las Cruces, NM. The firm has existing practice areas in Legislative Advocacy, Governmental and Public Law, and others that make it a good fit for SLR. These will only be enhanced by Tom’s relocation.  In addition, many of you may remember firm partners Drew Miller and Mark Hedrick, who have attended several of our meetings while the firm was a member in the past.

Both Tom Forbes and Mark Hedrick will represent Kemp Smith at our Fall Meeting in Park City.  New contact information for our Texas member is included below.  Please join SLR in welcoming back Kemp Smith!
